Nesting snippet 1

Roger Gray, gravedigger, pushes aside the half-empty box of pizza, and contemplates his death. Rather, what comes after. Working the job he does, you'd think that death was on his mind a lot. But no, he had always been the "goth kid" in school. A buff one, having been fond of sports, a rebel against the rebels. So, though it was cinsidered an unwelcome job, he'd enjoyed working there for years, with no thought of the Beyond. But now, he wondered. He was 47, getting on. He had no wife, no husband, no kids. His friday evening was sitting in his shed in a cemetery, while teens made out outside. He wondered if nothingness truly awaited him, out there, beyond the veil of death. And if so... what was he doing with his life?
